Providing Mental and Emotional Healing to Syrian Refugee Children Through Arts and Fashion

  • 50% of all profits support Tara Karanglou's Art of Hope, a non-governmental, 501(c)3 charitable organization that aims to provide art therapy workshops for Syrian refugee children.
This silk scarf features the beautiful handwriting of Rula, a 10 year old Syrian Refugee currently living in a refugee camp in Lebanon. Our Letter from Rula scarf comes with a special card sharing the story of Rula and this collaboration.

ABOUT THE COLLECTION:
My Social Canvas has joined forces with Tara Kangarlou’s Art of Hope to launch a collection of pieces featuring the art-work of Syrian refugee children collected by Ms. Kangarlou during her reporting trips to Lebanon. Proceeds from the sale of the collection go back to fund Art of Hope’s art therapy workshops in Syria. This is the story of two New Yorkers who are joining hands to impact one of the biggest humanitarian crises of our time.
Tara Kangarlou— an international correspondent—is putting all her expertise from reporting and producing in the field overseas into Art of Hope.

Serendipitously, on International Women’s Day she connected with Lisa Mayer, CEO of  My Social Canvas who decided to support the cause through her fashion-forward platform that aims to empower women and teens.
